General Plumbing in Toronto
Kitchen Plumbing Toronto
The kitchen copes with more water than any other room in the house, and we handle all of it. Taps and mixers, sink wastes, dishwasher connections, drainage and gas cooktops all fall under this page.
We work across Toronto and the western shore of Lake Macquarie, on the same regular run every week.
Every job starts with a $0 call out and a clear quote before any work begins. Licensed plumbers handle the lot, from drains and hot water to gas fitting and general repairs, and if something isn't up to standard, we come back and make it right, no questions asked.
What We Fix in the Kitchen
A kitchen fault is usually one of a handful of things. We diagnose the cause first, then quote the fix in full before a tool comes out:
Taps, mixers and spouts
Sink wastes and traps
Dishwasher connections
Burst flexi hoses
Kitchen drainage
Gas cooktops
Dishwasher installs have their own page at dishwasher installation, and gas cooktop work sits under gas fitting. Everything else starts here.
Kitchen Plumbing in the Houses Around Town
Older cottages and low pressure
Foreshore cottages from the Excelsior subdivision decades often still carry corroded galvanised supply lines, and a weak kitchen tap usually points back at that pipe rather than the mixer itself.
The hose hiding in the cupboard
Braided flexi hoses under the sink age quietly until they let go, and because the hose hides inside the cupboard below, the first sign is often water across the kitchen floor.
Drainage that shares an old line
Established gardens on the older blocks push roots into clay and earthenware drainage lines, so a sink that gurgles when the washing machine empties is often sharing that same fault.
Units and tighter cupboards
Newer units near the town centre squeeze everything into a smaller space, so a leaking mixer or a failed appliance connection there takes a careful hand rather than brute force.
If the fault turns out to be in the drain rather than the fixture, the job moves to our blocked drains page, where CCTV cameras and high-pressure jetting come into play.
Signs It Is Time to Call
Kitchen plumbing rarely fails without warning. These are the ones we hear about most:
- A drip under the sink that returns no matter how tight you do the fitting
- Pressure that has dropped off at the kitchen tap over months or years
- A sink that drains slower every week and gurgles as it goes
- Rust or a bulge along a braided hose under the cupboard
- Water pooling around the dishwasher after a cycle
Any one of these is a five-minute phone call. Left alone, a slow drip becomes a swollen cupboard floor and a burst hose becomes a flooded kitchen. Call (02) 4063 3438 and we will talk you through it.

Where Kitchen Work Connects to the Rest of the House
Kitchens rarely fail in isolation, and the fault behind the fault often sits somewhere else entirely:

Kitchen Plumbing Questions
Can you fix a kitchen tap or mixer without replacing the whole fixture?
Usually, yes. Most drips come down to washers, cartridges or O-rings, which we repair where the fixture is worth saving. If a mixer is seized or past it, we quote a replacement.
Why is the water pressure low at my kitchen sink but fine elsewhere?
In the older cottages near the foreshore, corroded galvanised supply lines are the usual culprit, and the kitchen is often the first tap to feel it. We check the pipe run first.
Can you connect a dishwasher and make sure it drains properly?
Yes. Supply, drainage and a keyed-off isolation are part of a proper install, so the appliance empties cleanly instead of pushing waste back into the sink. Our dishwasher page carries the detail.
My sink drains slowly and gurgles. Is that a blocked drain?
It usually is, and in the older streets it is often roots in a clay or earthenware line rather than grease in the trap. A camera run shows where the fault sits.
Do you install and connect gas cooktops?
We do. Cooktop connections, bayonet points and appliance disconnections are all handled by a licensed gas fitter, tested and left compliant before we ever pack up the tools.
What does a kitchen plumbing job cost?
Every job gets a quote before work starts, and the $0 call out means getting us there costs nothing. You approve the full figure first, so no hourly surprises arrive later.
